Chelsea is a rapidly growing young city located at the foothills of the Oak Mountain Ranges in Shelby County, Alabama. The past decade has brought big changes in population to Chelsea. From an unincorporated community, Chelsea became a town in 1996. The rapid increase in population has generated new and expanded services and convenience.

My daughter, Tara Owen, was born with cystic fibrosis. A beautiful young woman, she fought courageously to live life on her own terms. She continued to fight for over 28 years, until a tragic error brought her battle to an end. This book is not about her death; it's about her life.
